Harsheys is a Discord bot operated by Harsh Kohli and hosted at harshkohli.com. To ask a question, email send@harshkohli.com. The rules for using the bot are in the Terms of Service.
1. Who is responsible
Harsh Kohli decides how this bot handles information. The bot and this website are hosted at harshkohli.com. This policy covers the Discord bot and these pages. It does not cover Discord itself.
2. Information the bot handles
The bot does not keep a database of players. It does not read the text of ordinary chat messages, and it does not record the voice channel.
When you use a slash command, Discord sends the bot the information it needs to answer: your Discord user ID, the server ID, the channel ID, and, for playback commands, the voice channel you are in. While the bot is connected, it can see who is in that voice channel so /status can count listeners. It keeps the voice channel it was told to join, the volume, and whether playback is paused, so it can start again after a restart. /stop deletes that record. It does not keep a list of who was listening.
The audio it plays is a station Harsh Kohli hosts. It is not audio from the people in the call.
The host writes operational logs. Those logs can include a server ID and an error. Stream credentials are removed before a line is written. Logs are not a player profile.
3. How the information is used
The bot uses a command to join the voice channel you asked for, play the station, pause or resume, change volume, and answer /status, /ping, /help, and /support. If a DJ role is configured, the role ID on the command is checked against that setting. The check is not stored.
This information is not sold and is not used to build advertising profiles.
4. What other people can see
A normal command reply is visible in the channel where you used it. Some errors are ephemeral and are meant for you. /status can show the voice channel, whether audio is playing, the Opus bitrate, volume, uptime, and how many people are in the channel. There is no public profile and no leaderboard.
A live status message in Harshey's Hub shows whether the process is online, gateway latency, server count, how many voice channels are playing, and a listener total. It does not list user IDs.
5. Where it is stored
The voice channel, volume, and pause flag are stored on the machine that hosts the bot. That file is what lets the bot rejoin and play after a restart. /stop, a deleted channel, or the bot being removed from the server deletes it. There is no player database. Logs stay on that host.
6. Who receives it
Information is used to run the bot and is sent through Discord because that is where you use it. The station audio is fetched by the bot from harshkohli.com. Records are not given to advertisers.
Harsh Kohli may disclose information if the law requires it, or if it is necessary to investigate abuse of the bot.
7. How long it is kept
The saved voice channel stays until /stop, until that channel or server is gone, or until you ask for the record to be removed. Restarting the bot does not clear it. Messages Discord still shows in a server are kept by Discord, not by this bot.
There is no stored player record to delete. You may email send@harshkohli.com and ask for log lines about a server to be removed.
8. Security
The bot token stays on the host that runs the bot. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. Do not send passwords or payment card numbers to the bot or to the contact address. The bot does not ask for them.
9. Children
The bot follows the age requirement Discord sets for an account. It does not create a separate account for a child. If you believe information about a child was written into a host log, email send@harshkohli.com and ask for those lines to be removed.
10. Your choices
You can stop using the commands at any time. A server manager can remove the bot, which ends the voice session. Email send@harshkohli.com with your Discord account if you have a question about this policy.
11. Changes
This policy may be updated by posting a new version on this page and changing the date above. The new policy applies from the time it is posted.
